Barons Hill Farm is an ancient 60 acre Farm, quietly situated in the heart of the beautiful South Hams countryside with horses, chickens, alpacas, geese, sheep, a meandering stream and a duck pond. The Barn at Barons Hill Farm is a beautifully restored agricultural barn in keeping with its original rustic use, with high ceilings, a large private courtyard with views over the farm and beautiful countryside beyond. With its superb position deep in the glorious South Devon countryside, you could not wish for a better place for your very special day. Whether for your wedding, anniversary or birthday party or as a Charity event venue, The Barn is quietly rural and has no near neighbours. It is perfectly situated midway between Kingsbridge and Totnes and close to the stunning Salcombe Estuary and the South Devon coast. Easily accessible, The Barn is ideally located for Plymouth and Exeter, with Totnes Mainline station just 12 minutes away. There is lots of parking and an extensive choice of excellent local caterers, florists, photographers, taxis and accommodation on site and nearby to create a truly magical and memorable day for you.

About The Barn

The Barn can accommodate up to 100 seated guests, with the option of an additional marquee to seat up to an extra 40 to 50 people. It has a large secluded outside courtyard which has wonderful views across fields and a stream, with beautiful sunsets and it can be used as an ideal place for photographs, barbeques and hog roasts, reception drinks and a cocktail area. There is a bridal suite, ideal for those quiet moments in the lead up to a wedding. Entirely surrounded by 60 acres of lush Devon countryside, privately situated at the end of a long drive, adjacent to the barn there is a converted stable which can be used for catering. The Barn is designed to be a relaxed and rustic setting. We are flexible and you can choose to be as formal or as informal as you like; it is completely up to you! You can use our festoon lighting, vases, bunting, tables and chairs and our bales of hay if you wish, or you can decorate everything yourself. You can choose your own flower arrangements, furnishings and colour schemes and there are shelves to put candles on all round The Barn. There is plenty of time for setting up as the venue is exclusively yours from the Friday to come and go as you please. You can even do your own catering, barbeque or hog roast if you wish, or we can help with finding tried and tested suppliers and services who you may want to use. These are hand-picked local suppliers who go out of their way to source their produce from local and sustainable sources. They include local caterers, hog roasts, bar providers, live bands, entertainers, discos, florists, vintage crockery hire, wedding cakes suppliers, ice cream vans, even a vintage 1950s burger van, yurts, bell tents and tipis, and a catered London bus….the list is very long and very comprehensive! We also have our own delicious spring water which can be served in bottles on all the tables if you wish.

Accommodation

The Barn has plenty of space for guests to stay. Accommodation includes Stable Cottage, our newly refurbished detached two bedroom cottage sleeping 4/5 and other accommodation for up to a further 8 people. Events and weddings will be strictly limited and there is plenty of setting up time, so you can take your time and completely relax and enjoy the lead up to your special day. There are also a wide range of hotels, holiday cottages and Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the immediate vicinity, a list of which we will be happy to provide to you. We can also arrange tipis, yurts and bell tents for you or your guests if you should wish, or do please bring your own… there are toilet facilities and we can arrange for showers to be brought in on site if and when required. The Barn is a unique, magical and rustic wedding venue set deep in the lush South Devon countryside where you can relax and enjoy your special day.
